When visiting new places I love stumbling upon a family owned business establishment, such as this. Initially this felt hidden from view, only a small poster announces that the first floor has a restaurant, and when looking at some old reviews of this place there was some negativity.
I can confirm the food portions are sufficient, the quality is great, and prices are very reasonable.
Strongly urge to sample a few different starters, and don’t miss out on the cold sake! ( the sake glasses have a secret hidden inside them 😉 )

Petit chinois Grand rue de Saverne. Nous avons dégusté des nems et samoussas vraiment délicieux. Puis un canard laqué accompagné de riz cantonais et de nouilles. Tout est vraiment finement cuisiné. Nous nous sommes régalés. Si comme nous, vous éprouvez le besoin irrépressible d'Asie, arrêtez vous a la Chine.

A small Chinese restaurant on Grand Rue de Saverne. We enjoyed truly delicious spring rolls and samosas. Then we had Peking duck with Cantonese rice and noodles. Everything was truly exquisitely cooked. We had a blast. If, like us, you're craving Asian food, stop by China.

Merci au restaurant La Chine, d'avoir sauvé notre nouvel an. Ma femme et moi étions coincé à l'hôpital et grâce à eux nous avons pu malgré tout avoir un repas de qualité dans un délais de seulement 15 minutes. Merci beaucoup et bonne année 2023 à vous.

Très très bon restaurant asiatique, nous avons super bien mangé, et le service était impeccable, le serveur est très sympathique et jovial. À refaire si nous sommes à nouveau de passage à Saverne.

A very good meal, fresh and well-cooked dishes, generous and there's something for everyone. My husband had the roast duck, it arrived piping hot, really nothing to do with all-you-can-eat buffets where almost everything is lukewarm and frozen. The owner is helpful and friendly, attentive, the sides are generous, noodles, vegetables, it's not greasy, the akaos are piping hot and the stuffing generous. Nothing to complain about except that we will happily come back.
